6th Graders read to understand the Old Testament in the Bible, who wrote it, why, when, who inspired them to do so. They will appreciate God's Word, His people and leaders God chose to help them and the Jewish faith that Jesus, our Savior and Messiah followed. We will explore and examine five World Religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism) to compare and contrast to our true Christian Catholic faith.
7th & 8th Graders read to understand the Bible, the Word of God, the New Testament, (especially the Acts of the Apostles and Luke) about Jesus, our Savior, and his disciples, focus on the new following in a new Christian Church based on Jesus' faith of Judaism. We will recognize the Holy Spirit as our gift from God. They will also work on service hours and prayer to ready themselves for Confirmation this year.

All PJPII Junior High students will know and recite their Catholic prayers, to understand: we pray praising God, thanking God, asking for forgiveness, asking for favor or needs for yourself and needs
of others. They will pray when they wake up, before breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and before sleeping.
We can pray: talk and communicate with God our Creator, anywhere, anytime, any way respectfully,
for many reasons. Prayer is a gift to raise up to God in our mind and hearts. Thanking God that they
can and are able to pray!
All students will read, participate in and appreciate the seven sacraments as gifts from Jesus, Son of God; the Mass and parts, the Beatitudes, Works of Mercy, Virtues, Commandments, and Service to others.
Next, our textbooks take us to the Bible sections so to appreciate who wrote them, how, when, why, and what words they wrote about as inspired by God the Holy Spirit. We will be doing activities to meet requirements for Confirmation. Fridays are our day for Mass. the Holy Eucharist where we pray communally with the whole school.
